Proteas lose toss, bowl in PE as Paterson debuts

Cape Town - Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis lost the toss and England have elected to bat in the third Test at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Thursday.

The teams are deadlocked at 1-1 after South Africa's 107-run victory in the Boxing Day clash in Centurion and England's 189-run triumph at Newlands in the New Year's showdown.

In team news, the Proteas have handed a debut to seamer Dane Paterson, who comes in for all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius.
